Arsene Wenger has given an insight into his thoughts on the current Premier League situation.
Wenger says the top four are not going to go away but he says Arsenal are not in the Champions league.
“It’s a Champions League.
We’re not in it.
We won’t go away, but we’re not playing the top teams in the world,” Wenger said.
“We have to have a lot of energy to make it happen.”
“In the Premier League, it’s not going away.
We’ve got three top teams, we’ve got Manchester City and Liverpool and the rest of the top players.
The Premier League is going to be the Champions Trophy, so it’s a bit different.”
It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the first two games of the season.”
Arsenal face Manchester City in the league and Liverpool in the FA Cup on Tuesday, with Arsenal facing Liverpool in their first competitive match in the Premier as well.
Wenger believes the squad has improved since he took over in January.”
There’s more quality in the squad.
They are more experienced and they know what they’re doing, and that’s the difference,” he said.”
That’s why I said we need more experience.
I said the players have to show that they’re capable of winning trophies and I think that’s happening.
He added: “We are not playing for the sake of winning.
We are playing for ourselves, but I don’t know if we have enough to win the league.””
It won’t be easy.
We have a good squad but we’ve only won three matches in four games.
We can be disappointed because it’s difficult to win games in the competition.
Arsenal’s win over Manchester City was their first win in eight games in all competitions since their win at Chelsea on January 15, 2017.
They have won four of their last five league games and have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions’ League for the first time since 1998.
Meanwhile, Wenger has named a squad that includes: Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Kaboul, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Santoninhos Varela and Alex Oxletak.
Arsenal have also brought in five new players.
