This deployment will be the first deployment of Google Fiber in the US to deploy fiber service to customers that are in underserved markets where access is limited or unavailable.
This deployment will also be the largest in the world to deploy Fiber to customers in undersized markets where broadband access is currently limited or nonexistent.
This initial deployment is the largest-ever for a new fiber-to-the-home service provider, surpassing the deployment of a national network in New York City, the largest deployment in the history of a new public utility.
The Company is pleased that the US market is now experiencing this growth, as the US is the country with the largest number of underserved communities, with a population of more than 4.4 million people, and more than two-thirds of all Americans live in these communities.

Fiber is available for an initial $45 per month plan with a three-year contract, and is priced at $60 per month for a full year plan.

In the United States, Fiber is available in select metropolitan areas including San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Philadelphia/Northern Virginia, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Chicago/Northern Indiana, and Detroit.
In the other markets where the Company has announced its deployment, the Company is deploying Fiber in select areas, and plans to deploy more cities as the service matures.
The Company will begin deploying Fiber to residential and business customers beginning in 2021, with initial rollout of Fiber service to homes in the first half of 2021 and to businesses in the second half of 2020.
In all markets, the first rollout of the service will be completed by the middle of 2021 in select cities.
The first deployment will commence in the United Kingdom and Ireland in the third quarter of 2019.
The initial deployment will occur in all markets in the Americas and the Asia Pacific region by the first quarter of 2020 and the first round of 2019 in Japan and South Korea.
The earliest deployment of the company’s fiber service will commence on October 1, 2021 in the New York metropolitan area.

The company has a commitment to provide the service by the third and fourth quarters of 2020, and anticipates that the service can be available by the fourth quarter of 2022.
The service will initially be available in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and parts of the Northern Mariana Islands.
In addition, Google will provide service to the US and Canada beginning in the fourth quarters 2020.
