When the Giants got rid of Manning, a former QB was on the way

A few years ago, New York Giants owner John Mara had the Giants make a bold move: He signed former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning to a four-year, $60 million deal.

It was a blockbuster deal.

That deal, however, came with a caveat: The Giants had to guarantee Manning that he’d be the team’s starting quarterback for the next four years.

That’s the reason why Manning is still with the Giants today.

Manning’s agent, Ron Wolf, told the AP, “He’ll be back next year.”

Wolf told the New York Post that Manning will be the “starting quarterback” in 2018 and 2019.

He was wrong about that, of course, but it’s a testament to Manning’s ability that he remains with the team.

He’s been the face of the franchise since it was a young franchise in the early 1990s, and it’s been a tough year for the franchise.

But the Giants made Manning the starter and he’s been very successful.

Now he’s on the other side of the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he’ll be competing for a starting job against Ryan Mathews and Carson Wentz.

Manning has had a rough season.

He had five interceptions in his first three games as the starter.

But Manning has bounced back in the past two weeks.

Manning threw for 531 yards and three touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and the Eagles held Brees to one catch for 13 yards.

Manning was also sacked twice.

The Eagles are 4-2 and will face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The Giants have won five straight and three of the past four, but they’re 5-8 on the season and are now 0-4 in their past five games.

Manning won’t be the only quarterback in the NFL who has struggled in his last few games.

Peyton Manning has thrown for more than 1,000 yards in each of his last four games, and he is now 5-0 in those games.

The only quarterback who has thrown more than 800 yards in four consecutive games is Tom Brady, who threw for 1,086 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

Manning is 4-0 and tied for second in the league with 16 touchdown passes.

The Broncos have won two straight and are 4 1/2 games behind the Giants.

Denver is tied with the Packers for the most wins in the NFC West.

The Cowboys are 1-5 and have lost five straight.

The Seahawks have won three straight and seven of their past 10.

The Vikings are 1 1/3 games behind San Francisco and are 2-2 in their last five.

Manning also threw for a career-high 478 yards and five touchdowns against New Orleans on Sunday — and he threw for three touchdowns and ran for another.

The Packers, meanwhile, have won four of their last six games and are 7-3.

They’ll face the Denver Broncos Sunday in their second game after being outscored 17-3 in the first half against the Cowboys.

They have won six straight and two of their previous three.

Manning had two interceptions in the win over the Cowboys, but the Eagles won the turnover battle and scored on their first three possessions.

Manning completed 15 of 25 passes for 201 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

The Patriots won the fumble battle and Manning had four catches for 71 yards, including one for a touchdown.

The Falcons were held to one touchdown on three possessions and lost for the second time in three games.

They are 4 -4 and 1 1 / 2 games behind Atlanta and are 1 -3 in their previous six games.

New England has won five of its past six games, but has been held to fewer than 20 points in five of those games and has yet to beat a team that currently has at least 200 rushing yards.

The Cardinals won their third straight game and will try to beat the Steelers at home Sunday.

It will be New England’s fourth straight game at home after the Falcons won their first two.

The Rams have won eight of their nine games, including a 14-7 win over Minnesota in Week 1.

They’re 6-3 and 5-2 against the NFC East.

They lost to the Panthers on Sunday and are coming off a bye week.

The Bears are 1 2/3 against the AFC South and 3-1 against NFC West teams.

They won’t face the Panthers Sunday, but their opponent will be Miami, which is 0-5 against NFC South teams and 0-3 against NFC North teams.

The Panthers have won their last three games and the Seahawks have lost three of their first four.

The Buccaneers will take on the Broncos in Denver.

It’s a rematch of last season’s game at Soldier Field between the Panthers and 49ers.

The 49ers won that game, 35-21, but were defeated in the Super Bowl by the Seahawks, who beat the Broncos.

The Steelers are 1 0/3 in Super Bowls and 0 0/1 in divisional games.

Tampa Bay will
